In addition to making an object using shape category tools, the object itself can be further modified using tools which fall in shape-editing category, by which we can change object's outerline or change its actual position (inclination) to the new one. The tools are as follow:
1. Smudge and Roughen Brush
Smudge and roughen brush are commands used to modify object's outerline. Smudge brush changes object by giving 'overflow' effect to its outerline while roughen brush gives 'spike' effect. Do the following steps to use smudge brush:
Meanwhile, do the following steps to use roughen brush:
- Create an oval object using eclipse tool
- Click smudge brush tool
, and adjust the nip size on the property bar, for example: 1.2 inch
- Click on object, and press and hold your mouse button, then move the pointer from inside of the object to the outside

Meanwhile, do the following steps to use roughen brush:
- Create a rectangle object
- Click roughen brush
and adjust the size of brush and its auxiliary features on the property bar
- Click the outerline of object to create a spike(s)

- Finish
Free Transform tool is serves to freely rotate an object. Below are the steps to use the tool:
- Click the object which will be rotated
- Click free transform tool
- Click and hold your mouse button on certain spot to determine the 'center of gravity' for object rotation
- Begin rotating the object by moving you pointer
